Moving Forth
answering the call
Rage! Rage! Rage against the scene —
this corrupted regime,
AI-infected machine that stole all our dreams,
rolled ’em up and smoked ’em like some broke dope fiend.
So they can fatten up they asses
With some more of that green.
Earlier this month, I shared a message here about the now-past Fourth of July holiday, the 250 years of America celebration and what if represents. And more importantly, where we go from here? How do we embody and live out the principles set forth by the founders at that time? Even if they were not as nobly advanced as we may have previously considered.
That post-included a rap/poem vividly asserting my anger and rage at our predicament, while doing what I can to build and foster the energy needed to move forward.
As it was buried somewhat deeply in that essay, where it might have been overlooked, I’m sharing it on its own, complete with voiceover, so that it may shine on its own, and surge with that power.
Please read, listen, let if fill your spirt to overflowing —
And share!
FORTH
Like Langston fucking Hughes
This dream explodes from a fuse —
Lit with a bit of incendiary wit.
This rhyme that I spit
is arriving with violence,
breaking though the silence
with pent-up rage on the stage,
with the force of a tornado.
Be careful where you sit
’cause I just might bust through
The misconceptions and deceptions
that been planted in your mind.
The willful and the ignorant
Blindly lead the blind.
Follow your patriotic duty now
and swallow up your pride,
While I tell you all the stories
that they’ve tried so hard to hide.
You might think it started back in 2024,
or on the 6th,
or when Obama split,
or even a few years more.
But its all been the same
since the land got claimed
Spanish ships on cross-Atlantic trips
settling in on Hispanola’s sparkling shores.
Since then its been a constant game of genocide.
Wars with but one side —
The Indian, then the Black.
Learn about your history,
Man, you know that it’s a fact.
Straight up, this nation’s never lacked for homicidal maniacs
Sitting in the halls of power, stealing money, make it shower —
While the working people sit in their tenements and glower.
War after war of Imperial pursuits.
False flags, cover-ups, whitewashed and dilute-ed
with turpentine — until they sparkle and shine
Blemishes gone
Rough patches patched over
A million bombs dropped
on those few who refuse to bow lower.
No time to waste — This Fourth we’re going forth.
Pick up the pace — Cause time is getting short.
The pie’s on the plate, the ball is in our court.
Time to stake our claim —
And move this country forth.
Revisionists will tell you this,
“Man, that shit is in the past!
we were bad once, sure,
but you’re givin’ a bad rap
to the founding father’s legacies,
my ancestors before me.”
Well, I’m not here to argue technicalities.
But to bring a new dawn, and plant a new seed.
We speak of a pride, but what’s to be proud of?
when we send men to die, but hide the true cause of
the motives inside the hearts of the greedy,
who turn their eyes away from the poor and the needy.
We say a city on a hill, a shining example;
But leaders care only about trophies on a mantle.
Each one represents 100,000 dead.
When you gonna let these words get into your head?
Will we make this place — something to be proud of?
Will we take — a stand against the one’s who’ve fought us?
Reject the fantasies they taught us?
The ways that they divide us?
The lies they try to use to buy us?
See the truth that lies inside us?
Tear down the walls, flip ‘em as we’re able.
Turn them into — a long, wide welcome table.
Write a new story, make it one of glory —
where no ever has to worry
about a bankruptcy from catching a little flu
Where’s there’s good food to eat
and hearts — not prisons filled.
Where not just the few,
but everybody wins.
and freedom’s not just a word
but a truth we believe in.
No time to waste — this Fourth we’re going forth.
Pick up the pace — cause time is getting short.
Hear the people sing, shake the country to its core.
Let true freedom ring, from a whisper to a ROAR.
Peace and Blessings, Love and Light

A miracle is any small thing — that pierces the veil, drops the shroud between the two realms, opens our mind’s eye for the briefest of moments and allows us to see the world clearly, illuminated by the majesty of love.

Like this? As Rumi said, there is no “up-to-the-neck” in Love. Immerse yourself fully in this deepening blue.
Here are three more posts born of the same anger and energy.
Sound the Alarm! - A Rap for the Restless
Today’s post is less of an essay and more of a straight-up poem. Or a “rap” if you will. Yet another rap inspired by the greatest, most politically active rap group of all time, Public Enemy.
A note in closing:
Everything that I publish here on Substack is completely free for all to read and share - for the simple reason that I don’t want the pressure of having to churn out content to meet outside expectations. Only to share what I am called to from my heart.
If you’re wondering why I have cut my schedule to once a week, it’s simply because I know you are already inundated with demands on your time, and I don’t want to add more.
If you resonate with that idea and wish to support me in this journey, without expectation, I would be more than grateful.
You can read more about my philosophy and find other ways to support me in the following post.
Peace and blessings,
Aaron

WOW I’m not from the US but this was outstanding to read and listen to. Amazing work here. Touched upon so many issues gracefully despite the aggressive undertone (rightfully so! I love it!) this is just amazing Aaron!
