Only the ego can perceive enemies.
Only the ego can perceive enemies. Perceive something to be conquered or vanquished. Perceive anything but love. So thinking of the ego as an enemy is itself the thought of the ego.
By setting itself up this way, the ego makes itself real. But nothing real can be vanquished, and nothing unreal would need to be vanquished.
This is the way of the Master.
