Let no ill thought greet you this day.
Let no pictures of lack in your mind stay.
God’s temple is no place of worship
For idols of gold
which would your peace usurp.
Lay them on His altar, that glorious place
beyond all thoughts of time and space.
For whatever is placed therein
is transformed by his holy grace.
God is you, and you are God
He is your being deep within.
Look to Him when troubles come
For He is the release from your life of sin.
But know this one thing
this holy truth
that many in this world
would find uncouth.
God wills you to have it all,
even the absurd.
For your desire is the Holy Word.
Let your desires have their say
Create a picture of that perfect day.
And trust in God to find a way.
Feel not guilt in the presence of your desires.
Do not sacrifice them on the funeral pyre.
For as you may have learned in school
The true test is the golden rule.
Would you want these for a friend?
or would they mean for another an unpleasant end?
Do you ride a noble steed?
Or come from a place of envy and greed?
God knows of nothing right or wrong
In judgement, He does not abide.
So in the end, the choice is yours.
Who you will be, you must decide.
In closing, with you, these words I leave
Whatsoever thing the mind can conceive
And in faith, the soul believes
In the end…
is what will be achieved.
